I apologise to all of my readers (not that there are too many of you lol) for all of the days gone by with nothing to show. It isn’t that I haven’t been dealing with the paranormal day in and day out, but I haven’t had the time to get things organised enough to get it all down…so I’m sorry for that.

In the coming months I have many projects I’ll be working on and I’m not sure how much time I will have to devote, but I do intend to keep up with not only my background from haunted houses to the animal ghosts of my youth (yes there are still more stories on that!) but also new experiences in general.

I also hope to begin a new tracker and series of post devoted to one of my most recent acquaintances in my paranormal experiences, known simply as Osh.

This is all a great deal more time consuming than it may seem and I have obligations in life which can quite frankly keep me occupied a great deal more than I would prefer them too! I will do my best to keep up with the fun. I hope to capture not only EVP from Osh, but also a photo, if that can be managed…we will have to see…he after all is not a human ghost.

So, please forgive me if I lag behind. I hope you will continue to read and have your own adventures. Know that I am still eager to share my experiences so that others can learn whatever they may from them and I thank you as always for taking the time to read.

As a quick note today, so as not to leave you with nothing, I have a simple bit of advice that came to me during my last real sit down session with a group of paranorms. This was in particular devoted to the idea of proof and you may just find it useful…not exactly satisfying…but food for thought anyway:

When asked why, over thousands of years of expermenting and research few or none at all have been able to prove the existance of certain paranormal phenomenon this is what I was told (a collective group answer)

There are forces in the universe that prevent you (living people) from obtaining too much information about the worlds surrounding your own. There are many reasons for this, but the one you may best understand is that with such a confirmation you may alter your entire way of living, not only as individuals, but as an entire race. The outcome of such changes is uncertain and in some cases has even been predicted to be seriously negative to the species as a whole. Therefore, while certain beings may make contact from time to time and isolated events may take place, the absolute confirmation of the paranormal world (speaking in general terms) to yours (living humans) is at this time an impossibility.

Keep in mind I am summarizing some very slow back and forth discussion, but the essence of the conversation is here. Personally I find this quite frustrating and keep in mind that it may not even hold true. For the time being, however, I have found it a useful idea to consider as it allows me to make peace with the idea that these discoveries are about the experience, not obtaining a goal. While it may not be an idea that is well liked, I do wonder how such knowledge might effect our species and what people might do with that kind of knowledge. Considering that we don’t always get on well with one another as it is, I do have to admit, I have reservations about how some might feel when it comes to any species, ghost, alien or any other type of unknown being coexisting within or all around where we live. One can never be certain, but I think it worth considering.

If one considers their body as housing for the soul it may not be too difficult to understand the idea that a house might be shared from time to time such as entertaining an overnight guest. Keeping this in mind and that body sharing does not contain the same exact element of real possession, those willing to delve into the realms of experimentation may be able to get some sense of how to touch upon the unknown beings and ghosts around them.

Some of the properties involved can also aid those looking to perfect the out of body experience and learn more about how to glimpse the existing worlds that remain mostly hidden in our daily lives. Please remember always to exercise caution and to keep in mind that when dealing with the unknown there are no guarantees of safety as the outcomes of such experiments are often uncertain and unpredictable.

Here is an example of the risk and reward of such an experience, along with the conclusions I have drawn, at least in a currently workable sense and by no means final (as I doubt I will ever be able to state anything about the paranormal with 100% certainty,) and may help to provide at the very least some food for thought.

• Body Sharing: This concept of sharing your body, in some instances even stepping out while someone else takes control is the project I am most currently fascinated by. So far I have been able to use this connection to accomplish some amazing tasks that I could not normally within my own living body alone. The exchange is both wildly informative and a bit surreal; each time I find myself feeling a bit like I’ve lost my marbles, but I continue on. I think the worst side effects are the compatibility issues. Not unlike many aspects of technology the body and soul seem to work together in life, but when introducing a new variable sometimes there are problems. Fortunately, I believe many of these can be worked through.

  To give an example of both risk and reward I will use a recent incident in which I attempted this experiment with a paranormal unknown who you all know as O or Osh. The connection can vary in strength and in this case was fairly strong. Getting connected, or sharing is a task in itself and I began by relaxing and allowing myself to reach out to him as I believe he was to me. Once connected I can only tell you that your mind does a bit of loop-de-loop and it may take a little while to adjust. About a minute into this a ball of light appeared on the ceiling and flooded the entire room full of light almost too bright to look at, it reminded me of a lightning flash. My dear friend and cohort in paranormal experimentation later tried to determine if this light could have been caused by anything else in the room and could only officially record that we could find no explanation other than it possibly being a side effect of the connection or caused by some other irregularity having to do with our experiments. (Please remember that I NEVER assume anything and though we currently have no way to explain certain events, time may reveal alternate answers than those we believe; for now however in order to proceed, we allow for the strong possibility of paranormal influence.)

  During this time of sharing many EVP’s were recorded and several interesting things happened that are not unlike those of many other paranormal investigators, I will leave those details to them. The event worth noting as the “risk” side, is that my dear friend Osh and I seem to be incompatible when it comes to sight. That is to say, if I try to use my eyes, or he does when this connection takes place it results only in pain, burning and horribly blurred vision to the point of being useless. The aftermath of discovering this was the my eyes hurt for the rest of the evening, though after we separated and I got some rest everything returned to normal.

  Losing my site was not something I expected, however I did learn two important things. When connecting with Osh I need to keep my eyes closed! Also that Osh and I can see, but only when my eyes are shut.

  It was through my closed lids that I was able to see the room around me, not as I would have seen it before, dim, shapeless with only a little light here and there to see through my closed lids, but as Osh could see (at least in part.)

  This discovery was amazing to me. Not only did I notice that I could see all of the objects in the room, that the room was brighter even than it had been to me before with my eyes open, but I could identify where everything was…including the shapes of two figures I had not even known were present (at least in location.)

  Further experiments with this have revealed that by working with Osh in this way I may be able to improve my ability to work with ghosts and other paranormal beings, which could greatly help in obtaining one of my main goals: better communication between the living world and those that interact with it.

It seems that no matter how many secrets I believe to be revealed on this subject I always have at least five more ahead. While I certainly can’t say whether or not these experiments would work for anyone interested in the paranormal, nor do I know how many variables might exist from person to person and being to being.

I can say that it is a fascinating way of interacting and when used with more modern tools, a great way to get a sense of those with you along with the more clinical data that helps you confirm the reality of your experiences…or least the reality that something inexplicable (as of yet) is taking place.

If one considers the body as one might a vehicle it really is no different to step out and take a walk from your living capsule than from your own car.

In the time I have had to experience such things I have no noticed a distinct difference between real possession and what one might call body sharing. To me possession is an invasion, an unwelcomed, unsolicited side effect that may happen from time to time. Body sharing, on the other hand allows a person to experience the, though somewhat uncomfortable at times, sensation of another being with a careful amount of control and safety.

Now to think that anyone of us ever really has control over anything, whether we invite or not, might simply be an illusion, but it would seem that somewhere within the complex organism that is the human body there exist certain defenses against the invasion of an additional soul. Much like the rest of the body this defense is not always perfect and might also be tested or even used more like a muscle.

The flip side of this is that a person might also achieve an out of body experience; an experience in which they can in essence, step away from their own body for a time. There are many theories on this ranging from horror to spiritual, but for centuries if not millenniums humans have experimented with such ideas with seemingly interesting results.

Those wishing to investigate these types of things would do well to be careful as, with most things in life, there are risks involved. The most terrifying aspect of this is that most of the risks are probably beyond our knowledge and may be therefore nearly impossible to take precaution against.

That said, the adventurous mind is often willing to take risks in order to obtain knowledge and whether this might be looked at as courage or pure foolishness, without such risks we might never have advanced our studies with any haunting and ghosts or other paranormal situation.

Over the years I myself have picked up a few things and I would share them now in the hope that they may provide some help or even just interesting reading (lol) for those who find themselves curious.

• Possession: The very thing every person may indeed have a natural, yet imperfect, defense against as it is the uninvited acquisition of a body by means of force. Such incidences may not always prove to be dangerous, but are almost never to my knowledge helpful or pleasant. One must consider the type of nature it would take to intrude in this way to understand why the intruder might not be terribly welcome at all and certainly we can almost always assume would be unfriendly.

  In some cases I believe such instances may even occur by accident. Living humans often make the assumption that a spirit or other type of paranormal being is always in control of this kind of action, but in my own experience I believe I have witnessed the accidental taking over of a living person and these have been without malice or negative influence.

  It has become increasingly popular to refer to all hosts of possession as demons and this line of thinking I find very difficult to follow. While there certainly maybe entities that are hostile, angry even dangerous one must NEVER make assumptions as to the nature, species or origin of any paranormal being. I believe this has come about because living people feel much more comfortable with classifications and labels, this gives some illusion of control. In truth I would say there are too many different types of beings out there to even be counted and we may never be able to say with certainty that any encounter is related to a specific type.

• Out of Body: One of the earliest theories I was able to find on this subject was spattered with fear that a person might come to some ill fate from trying to vacate their own body while still living. Some of these included immediate death or the loss of the body in such a way that a person might be forced to roam the Earth in a terrible lonely way forever.

  In my experience, neither of these things have come to pass, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t an element of risk. It is important to pay attention and to understand that when attempting such tasks that there are no guarantees. Using precaution may help a great deal, but no one can ever promise you absolute safety, just an idea to keep in mind.

  The out of body experiences can be both amazing and terrifying and I also believe there are many ways to accomplish this type of exercise. Not only the spirit itself and whatever kind of form that it is held within outside of the body, but also a level of consciousness that may be used in essence to travel. Some forms of meditation may even help a person to have an experience that is for all intents and purposes “out of body” and may help with anything from healing to stress relief to connecting with the world of the paranormal. Basically, the possibilities are seemingly endless and in many instances I have witnessed the risk VS reward is well worth it.

  The ability to push beyond the normal parameters of our own bodies is both exciting and a little scary, always remember to use caution and common sense when experimenting with anything, (even the non-paranormal,) in order to cut down on risks to your own safety. To keep an open mind in such circumstances, perhaps even more open than the idea of investigating the paranormal itself is essential. Those who are willing to accept new theories and always keep a level head about such events may find themselves experiencing the most unbelievable things and while they may not provide answers they may provide a better sense of what could be all around us on the edges of our known world.

When I started my fourth grade year I was once again starting from scratch. New in town, new in school and new to the kids surrounding me. I managed to make a few friends easily enough, but my favorite for the few months that I attended that particular school wasn’t one who was able to play with me on the playground with all of the other children.

I don’t think I placed it at first with other paranormal events in my life, probably because it took a while to realize that Sam wasn’t a living kid like all of the others. He sat in a desk sometimes, in other moments he wouldn’t be looking out the window while the teacher stood at the head of the room talking. I had heard nothing of the school before hand and if it had a reputation for being a haunted school, I saw nothing of it. I have looked back since and can find no reports of a death there, so why Sam liked to hang around…well that’s between him and the walls I guess.

The point is that during that time I was still becoming familiar with the concept and I still sometimes mistook the haunting and ghosts, or other paranormal beings, for part of the normal world that everyone else would also be aware of.

It took a couple of weeks for me to speak with Sam. It happened in the large closet where all of our cubbies for coats, gloves and such were kept. I was the last one in the room at the end of a bitterly cold day. I was having trouble buttoning the large jacket I needed to wear for the walk home.

Sam stepped inside and asked me if I needed help. I told him I did and he proceeded to help me, though he seemed to have as much trouble as I did and eventually I took over the job again and managed it. Whether he was able to actually touch my coat and buttons or not, I have never been absolutely sure, but I do think he tried.

With my task finished, I was able to look at him more closely as we talked and it was then that I noticed, up close for the first time really, that he didn’t look quite right. No gashes or gaping holes or bloody injuries, nothing of that sort, just…off somehow.

We spoke for a little while, normal chitchat. When I finally set off for home I asked if he would like to walk with me. It was then I think I knew for sure that he wasn’t on the attendance list. The look he gave me wasn’t sad, but surprised. He said he didn’t walk home and I left it at that.

I started staying behind whenever I could after that to speak with Sam. I never asked him if he was dead or not being like the rest of the kids. He told me about his family, his favorite toys (which I now realize were fairly outdated,) and his favorite television shows (also a bit on the older side.)

I often watched his behavior in the class when we were all working and quiet. Sometimes he would sit at his desk and work with the rest of us, he even appeared to have a pencil and paper, which I now know must have been some kind of an illusion as I believe other students may have noticed the moving pencil without a hand to guide it.

Most of the time he fit right in, but occasionally he would just get up and walk into the closet or sit on the window sill, something I should have noticed before as it undoubtedly would have caught the teacher’s attention if he had been one of her students.

Eventually I think we became friends. Not the sort that can go to the park together and we never did breech that subject of “Are you a ghost?” Still, he was kind and interesting.

Years later I tried to find out if he had attended the school at any point in time. I could find nothing that could confirm it, but there was one photo, a class picture that I could swear included him. No way to be sure, but perhaps.

What I can say is that though Sam did seem to be stuck in the school, I don’t think he was unhappy. In so many cases people believe that if ghosts are hanging about it must be because they are upset about something, but I don’t think that is always the case.

What he did in the hours when those halls were vacant, what he thought of the time when there were no children to watch, or even ones like me who he could, once in a while, chat with…I don’t know. I hope that he is happy and that some day he might move onto wherever it is he needs to go. In the meantime I will think of him as I do many childhood friends I passed from town to town and wish him well.

The idea that the paranormal and energy go together isn’t a new idea by any means, nor is the obvious effect that paranormal equipment can at times go a little haywire when trying to investigate because of this connection.

The natural connection between energy and electricity is also an obvious one, being that any involved in paranormal research can tell you that over the course of time you’ll find everything from inexplicable surges from appliances to freshly placed batteries that become immediately drained…again and again.

While there are certainly no shortages of examples of this occurrence and many theories about why it takes place, I have over the years found myself more interested in whether or not these examples of paranormal beings interacting with our world are on purpose or by pure accident.

After doing some research…always a tedious task in this field as there are NO certainties…I decided to go straight to the source and ask both ghosts and the unknowns about it. The conclusion is that it is all over the board, much like their ability to focus on a task and produce a visible or audio outcome. In some cases they do mean to make your lamp go on and off and on again, in other examples it is purely their presence which causes electronics or even the electricity in the air to react.

This information, while certainly not getting me anywhere conclusive, is interesting for a few reasons:

• Stages: The idea that a paranormal being might not always be able to predict the outcome of their presence or level of concentration, or even just the effect that their presence might have on the surrounding area, is fascinating to me. While many of those who have moved on (or were never a part of our living world at all) may be a bit more knowledgeable than the rest of us living slobs, it would still seem there is learning to be had beyond this life.
• Assumed Action: In cases where a spirit is deemed “hostile” or “unfriendly” it is important to keep in mind that some of the events taking place, while seemingly hostile, may in fact simply be by pure accident. This is especially true when dealing with beings who have little or no experience with living humans as they may not always even be aware of how we might interpret certain actions.
• Recording: Many investigators can tell you that the ability to video, photograph or audio record (EVP) beings can be fairly hit and miss and while frustrating, the idea that it is perhaps because it is at times purely accidental that something does get recorded seems to make a lot of sense. This doesn’t mean that a being isn’t trying, it may simply mean that the task is difficult for any number of reasons and may require more patience. There may also be other forms of interference which we have no explanation for…it is after all, the unknown!

As for myself, I am an unfortunate product of having a great many of these beings around me most of the time. I can’t wear a watch because they never keep the time (yes I’ve tried both expensive and…economical…that’s PC right?) I also have very interesting relationships with computers, as my favorite tech guy has often told me, in that I get an entire host of problems neither he nor any of his fellow techies can seem to trace to a cause. Another fun side effect is that I am almost constantly doing battle with static electricity, a thing which has proven to be both obnoxious and in some cases painful. Quite frequently I am treated to visible, miniature lightning bolts that snag my fingers or in a more recent case, my eye!

Though I have learned to live with or try to lessen these effects, they still serve as reminders that I am often surrounded by beings that in some way alter what might be a normal relationship with the electric side of our world. I believe we are only beginning to understand this relationship and may find that in the future it helps to strengthen our connection with them and eliminate some of the barriers that prevent an open line of communication. I am currently working on a project to allow better forms of communication with the paranormal through computer programs that may give them access to tools which can help. That is a story for another time and in the early stages…we’ll see how that goes.

There are some moments that seem to stretch out forever and others that seem to rush by too fast to be real. The idea of time truly does seem to alter based on perception, however inaccurate that might be and in some cases so much so that one might be led to assume that influences of things beyond our understanding must be taking part.

When I was about 10 years old I had such a moment, one that seemed like one of the longest paranormal events of my life, yet in real time only took place over a few minutes. It was one of those periods of time when we are so caught up in what is happening to us that we no longer consider the mechanics of a thing, not then anyway, and all thoughts of paranormal equipment and getting things down on record are something so obsolete that we can almost not remember how they were ever important in the first place. That said, I wish I had filmed this, I believe I would have captured it had I been, but this is so often the way. The best moments get recorded only in our minds…perhaps there is a reason for that.

I was drowning.

That horrible type of drowning that so many people experience at once point or another when you try to breathe and find only water rushing in again and again. Mine was chlorine filled and foamy, the water used in park designed for thousands of kids to find enjoyment in, but that day I’m afraid I found none.

The logistics of how I ended up drowning don’t matter as much as what I saw as I sank to the bottom of the large pool where light became scarcer and all I could see where the scattering legs and feet of those running instead of rushing to my aid. I was bleeding in the water, that’s probably what sent them off, but never the less, it was a real vision of human kindness at the age of ten.

It was during this flurry of activity, still hoping that air would somehow magically find me, that I saw someone swimming toward me. I can’t say for sure what it was, ghosts and spirits often, but not always, have a look to them and this being had neither. In any case the creature came toward me and I was at that point ready and waiting to accept help as I could no longer swim with my injury.

The creature didn’t lift me to the air, or perform CPR…it simply stayed next to me. While this happened I suddenly found I could breathe again, though I was nowhere near the surface. In later years I would consider myself almost a temporary mermaid because of this being, something that would usually make me laugh.

The being stayed with me until someone did come to help and I knew for certain that the thing next to me was not a person when the lifeguard who came to save me swam right through it. As the being backed away, the sting of water reentered my lungs, but I was soon brought to the surface and back to the safety of the air.

This whole event took place in less than three minutes, but if asked I would have said it must have been at least an hour or two. I know that with that being I felt safe, wrapped in the safety of the surrounding water rather than the pressure of it closing in. I believe that, even if just for me, time really did falter just a little.

I saw nothing more of the creature. I would like to think of it as some wise ocean god or being, searching the seas for those in need of help, but as I was in a public pool…this is very hard to picture. I have asked around about it with the paranormal friends I speak with on the other side of our living world. As usual, they are vague about what it might have been, never wanting to reveal too much it seems. I am grateful for the encounter though and I hope someday to give my thanks.

Jumping ahead again to one of the most haunted places in my home anyway, the two overstuffed armchairs in front of my sitting room fireplace. It is a perfect spot for curling up with a good book, or good conversation and I have come to think of it as rather the perfect little nook.

I have had several experiences in which something akin to a fire ghost might be drawn to flame, often the bigger the better, but I wouldn’t say that is what draws back a regular friend of mine who has been hanging about in that spot for years now off and on.

I believe the real cause of the paranormal activity in this location is my own feeling about it and my regular stays in that one spot.

I have on many nights found myself in the middle of so much activity that it seems too small a space to hold so many different beings, though certainly they are not restricted to the same special confinements we are. On other nights I get only a few minutes of a little oddity here and there and then all is quiet.

On one night, a little over a year ago, a paranormal friend (not exactly a ghost,) came to visit and was quite excited though he would not reveal the source of his jubilant mood. He merely told me to make certain that the wood in the fireplace was good and dry and then to get comfortable and wait, he even invited me to read while he went off to do whatever it was he needed to do in order to accomplish his task.

After about two hours he returned and told me to be ready. As I watched, I saw sparks begin the flutter here and there in the logs. Eventually there was smoke and finally a good flame. Within a half an hour I had a roaring fire that had seemingly come from nowhere.

When I congratulated my friend on his accomplishment he informed me that he was not responsible for the fire at all, but had found another being that could perform such tasks. Though I had great difficulty communicating with that other being we managed between the three of us.

That was the only night I have ever witnessed that particular act, but every year when the weather turns cold I wonder whether or not I will once again be treated to a fire show and the wonder that such an amazing feat can be performed by a being I might not otherwise even know was present.

A while ago I mentioned in a post that…well let me just quote myself:

I have never met another person who has had this same experience, though admittedly I have steered clear of many people who claim to see dead spirits or other types of paranormal beings. Why, I have done this is entirely different subject, I promise we’ll get to that eventually.

In the beginning I did want to share my experiences with others, but it quickly became apparent that it was going to be difficult. As a child I found it almost impossible and as an adult even more so. Not only do most people not believe what they do not experience for themselves, but some avoid ever having to try to understand the possibilities simply because they find it either too frightening or too daunting an idea.

With so many paranormal investigations going on I would have thought that this time in my life would be the prime one to make connections, but I have found this to be difficult as well. Why? Well because more than half of the beings I encounter are not dead people. As anyone who is following my Fall Tracker can see, many of the ghosts I come across whether at a haunted house or other location, I can note down because they have patterns that they tend (not always) to follow. The others are not quite so easily tracked all of the time and I would say more than half cannot be tracked using even the top notch paranormal equipment of today’s world.

For these reasons I have been very careful who I allow myself to connect with, what kind of people I invite into the connections I make with paranormal beings. This is not only for my owl well being, but a request made of some of those who I regularly encounter. Yes, some paranormal beings don’t like certain living people, for all sorts of reasons.

I will tell you advice from an old friend of mine, known to you as Z, one who is not a ghost and not a living person (bare with these aren’t exact quotes,):

In one situation where I was speaking with my friend, two ghosts and a woman who hoped to make contact with her dead relative: This quest for connection is of no use as the woman (no names sorry) had little love for her relative when he was living and is only now interested in discovering useful information that will aid her monetarily. – This turned out to be true and became a horribly embarrassing and awkward situation.

In another situation I met a man who was brought to my attention through a mutual friend because we both had an interest in the paranormal. We planned a session together and almost right away he claimed to see spirits in the room. I saw, nor felt nothing, but was not skeptical at first. Within about a half hour Z was once again on the scene, along with a ghost (he frequently befriends them, I sometimes suspect on my behalf.)  There was a booming laugh (and some very R-rated EVP) and finally a broken glass, the man’s. When I asked why the beings in the room were so upset, the reply was that they had just arrived and to find this man speaking with nothing. We used a board that night and whenever the man touched it, LIAR was spelled out over and over. I spoke with Z about it later and he said: The man was neither a lunatic nor suffering from hallucinations, he was simply concocting what he himself could not genuinely see nor hear nor experience even in the slightest degree. This man’s pretense, fear and refusal to understand prevent others from making contact. This left me feeling very upset, how could I know who to trust? In time I grew to rely on those I know in the paranormal world to let me know when things were amiss, but I still greet new people with caution.

So there you have it. The two things that so often prevent me from befriending others who share my interest: Paranormal unknowns and people who are so eager to take part in these experiences that they will put on a show.

The advice, if any, that you my fellow para enthusiasts should take is simply to be aware and to be open. There is so much we don’t understand about the beings we speak with and this includes those of flesh a blood. Be careful.

Halloween is usually a wonderful time for children. Not only do you get to dress up in a costume and get candy, but you also get to parade around with lots of others kids in what seems like a traveling fair of spooktacular wonder through the night. At the end of the eve you get to count your candy and see what treats you’ve acquired and then perhaps settle in and tell a few scary ghost stories before hitting the hay.

While adults can enjoy decorations and throwing or attending costume parties, for many enthusiasts when the day actually comes it can be difficult to know how to celebrate. There are several avenues to pursue if you’re looking for a way to have fun on Halloween and depending upon your type of enthusiasm you may even create a wonderful tradition with family or friends.

• Historical Approach: One way to go is to do a little research about Halloween got its start and what people durin that time period may have done to celebrate the day. Reenacting some of the same traditions of times past may bring about a more sophisticated feel to the holiday that the adults can have fun with after the kids are tucked away for the night, or just finished with their own activities. Such traditional methods as lighting large bonfires may not be practical if you don’t have the space, but with so many decorations and tools available these days you can get creative with modernizing the customs of the past.




• Mystery and Costume Ball: This doesn’t have to be as fancy as it sounds, but together a costume party that includes an event can really get people out of their normal life roles and into the spirit of things. Creating a murder mystery or any other kind of spooky event that your guests can enjoy can be a wonderful way to host a fun, but stimulating Halloween night.




• Paranormal World: For those who have a mind to seek out real paranormal activity there are a host of things a group, or even just a few people can do to celebrate the holiday especially. I myself have found that Halloween can stir up paranormal activity, not necessarily because those other beings recognize the holiday, but because more people seem to be aware of them during this time of year. Those looking for fun could do anything from hosting a séance or communicating through an ouija board, to trying to get some good EVP recordings in graveyards (mind those time restrictions.) While it is almost impossible to know whether or not there really is a door between worlds open on this day of the year, or if the enthusiasm of the living is simply noticed by other paranormal beings, one can still enjoy the surge of activity that so often takes place on Halloween.




• Halloween Tours: Many historical sites may offer special tours or events during the Halloween season that can be both enjoyable for those who consider themselves paranormal investigators or those who simply enjoy the idea of soaking up a little history. Whether or not a house is reputed to play host to real haunting the atmosphere may be quite right to have an unusual experience and to participate in a celebratory window into the past. These events are also often quite reasonably priced and the money goes towards keeping the historical sites we treasure in good health.

Consider some of these or your own ideas when trying to figure out how to continue celebrating this wonderful holiday long after the trick-or-treating phase of your life is past. Halloween is a holiday for all ages (even those who are no longer living!) and can be enjoyed by all if you just take the time to figure out how to make your All Hallow’s a very special eve.
