Paranormal Min Events: Time Stoppers

Paranormal Time StopThere are some moments that seem to stretch out forever and others that seem to rush by too fast to be real. The idea of time truly does seem to alter based on perception, however inaccurate that might be and in some cases so much so that one might be led to assume that influences of things beyond our understanding must be taking part.

When I was about 10 years old I had such a moment, one that seemed like one of the longest paranormal events of my life, yet in real time only took place over a few minutes. It was one of those periods of time when we are so caught up in what is happening to us that we no longer consider the mechanics of a thing, not then anyway, and all thoughts of paranormal equipment and getting things down on record are something so obsolete that we can almost not remember how they were ever important in the first place. That said, I wish I had filmed this, I believe I would have captured it had I been, but this is so often the way. The best moments get recorded only in our minds…perhaps there is a reason for that.

I was drowning.

That horrible type of drowning that so many people experience at once point or another when you try to breathe and find only water rushing in again and again. Mine was chlorine filled and foamy, the water used in park designed for thousands of kids to find enjoyment in, but that day I’m afraid I found none.

The logistics of how I ended up drowning don’t matter as much as what I saw as I sank to the bottom of the large pool where light became scarcer and all I could see where the scattering legs and feet of those running instead of rushing to my aid. I was bleeding in the water, that’s probably what sent them off, but never the less, it was a real vision of human kindness at the age of ten.

It was during this flurry of activity, still hoping that air would somehow magically find me, that I saw someone swimming toward me. I can’t say for sure what it was, ghosts and spirits often, but not always, have a look to them and this being had neither. In any case the creature came toward me and I was at that point ready and waiting to accept help as I could no longer swim with my injury.

The creature didn’t lift me to the air, or perform CPR…it simply stayed next to me. While this happened I suddenly found I could breathe again, though I was nowhere near the surface. In later years I would consider myself almost a temporary mermaid because of this being, something that would usually make me laugh.

The being stayed with me until someone did come to help and I knew for certain that the thing next to me was not a person when the lifeguard who came to save me swam right through it. As the being backed away, the sting of water reentered my lungs, but I was soon brought to the surface and back to the safety of the air.

This whole event took place in less than three minutes, but if asked I would have said it must have been at least an hour or two. I know that with that being I felt safe, wrapped in the safety of the surrounding water rather than the pressure of it closing in. I believe that, even if just for me, time really did falter just a little.

I saw nothing more of the creature. I would like to think of it as some wise ocean god or being, searching the seas for those in need of help, but as I was in a public pool…this is very hard to picture. I have asked around about it with the paranormal friends I speak with on the other side of our living world. As usual, they are vague about what it might have been, never wanting to reveal too much it seems. I am grateful for the encounter though and I hope someday to give my thanks.

Goodbye for now, another end.
Until a time we meet again.

Paranormal Mini Events: Messages in the Mirror

Paranormal MessagesJust a few words on fogging mirrors for the purposes of communication during ghost activity. This method can be used as a piece of paranormal equipment and it is certainly fun to watch letters, symbols or numbers form in a foggy mirror. It is also important to remember that the mirror , while useful, seems to confuse or disorient certain beings and for this and perhaps many more reasons some of the messages can come out a bit “foggy.”

There are many paranormal stories that include an inexplicable message written on a foggy mirror and what precisely draws so many beings to do this is an interesting, if yet inexplicable, question. I have had some beings tell me that dealing with what is essentially water vapor is much easier to work with. I have had others tell me that it is the mirror itself that is the draw. In all probability both and many more explanations are accurate.

I can admit that every once in a while, stepping out of the shower to find a message awaiting me is a bit unnerving, possibly because we feel so vulnerable bathing. However this method of communication can be very effective often allowing paranormal beings the ability to express thoughts even when you’re not necessarily picking up on their presence.

So the next time you find yourself trying to communicate and quite without the tools, you might just try taking a nice hot shower and watching for any mirror messages…at the very least, you’ll be squeaky clean.

Goodbye for now, another end.
Until a time we meet again.

Mini Events: Missing Items Part IV :House Keys

Haunted KeysI believe it is worth noting that some paranormal beings love to move house keys. I really don’t understand it. I find that most of the beings who are quite talented at communicating are not the ones up to such games so I can’t ever really get a good lock on why this keeps happening, I only know it isn’t just me.

Over the years I have heard many stories of haunted homes and extraordinary paranormal events, but in the end it seems like everyone has at least one case of misplaced keys.

Personally I believe my best experience with this took place several years ago when I had possibly the worst head cold I have ever had in my life. It was the type we always refer to as the flu, though technically it isn’t and you feel like you’re head is going to implode or explode or some such disgusting catastrophe.

I was comfortably (as possible) situated in my garden room on a wonderfully cushy sofa surrounded by what I would have estimated at the time, about a thousand tissues trying to read and ignore my illness. As I turned a page in my book I noted something in my peripheral vision about four feet off of the ground: my keys. I remember at the time thinking not now.

My keys floated, (by some unknown capacity I have for telekinesis gone awry from sickness for all I know,) and then left the room into the hall. I honestly can’t say where they went exactly or for how long because a huffed and returned to reading…or my attempt to read. I think I may have shouted something after the invisible force like Why don’t you get me some soup while you’re at it! Maybe, it was a really bad cold. I can tell you that when I woke up later feeling marginally better the keys were hooked on large potted plant that hung from the ceiling. Very funny, I’m glad I spotted them quickly that time, in others I have not been so fortunate.

So whether or not socks get eaten in the dryer or sunglasses hide in cracks in the sofa I cannot say for sure, but if you’re veer missing your keys, don’t be too certain it’s your fault.

Goodbye for now, another end.
Until a time we meet again.

Mini Events: Slumber Party Haunt

Haunted ItemsSome paranormal events can be very amusing and some remind us that what we are dealing with is unknown and we shouldn’t make any assumptions.

I was attending my first big birthday party, it was for a little girl in my class whose parents wanted to make a big deal out of her turning 10. I remember it being lots of fun, brightly colored and ridiculously silly.

At the end of it we all piled into sleeping bags and started talking about ghosts. Though none of the friends I had then knew about my own experiences I remember thinking it would be nice to talk about it. I never really got the chance.

The birthday girl’s older brother came into the room at key moment during a ghost story and scared us all. Nothing like a room full of squealing little girls, I’m surprised her parents didn’t come storming in, but perhaps they were somewhere laughing at all of the excitement.

I remember that her brother was not nice. He laughed at us for being scared and then proceeded to pick on his little sister. I think her name was Anna, I can’t remember for certain, but know that I liked her.

The brother continued to taunt her and called her stupid. I think Anna and some of the other girls shot back insults at him, I know I didn’t, I was too timid.

Finally the brother got tired of his game and turned to leave, but as he did he very meanly announced that we were all stupid because there were no such things as ghosts.

He was standing next to a side table on the edge of the room when he said it and he had all of our attention. Right after the words were out of his mouth a large glass paperweight scooted off of the table and fell on his foot.

It must have hurt, because he even swore. Naturally, the room erupted in laughter. We must have all been shocked, we all saw that there had been nothing there to move the paperweight, but I think seeing him hop around was just too funny after he had been so mean to really to take it all in.

Though experiences with ghosts and hauntings don’t often take violent turns, I know that we all appreciated that one. The brother was not seriously hurt, but he didn’t say anything else to us as he stalked off and he didn’t come back that night. He looked a little scared when he left.

What exactly happened that night? Could it have been a ghost that saw fit to scare the boy? Or perhaps it was Anna who may have never known to learn telekinesis, but gathered all of her energy in anger and reacted without understanding it?

I know we spoke of it for a long time that night. We had all decided it was a ghost. A cute boy ghost if I remember correctly. I didn’t see anything that night, so I have never really been certain what caused it, but it was kind of funny.

Goodbye for now, another end.
Until a time we meet again.

Mini Paranormal Events: Missing Items Chapter III: Phones

Haunted ItemsI have been trying to keep my blog in order from past to present, but something happened today that I know I’ll forget if I don’t get it down now so I hope you’re in the mood for a laugh.

My weekend was insanely busy! I got almost no sleep or food (no I didn’t hallucinate,) and was quite frankly grumpy and ready to be lazy Monday. Naturally, because I didn’t want to do anything but be as much of a lump as I could manage, the phone rang off of the hook.

I made several grumbling comments at it every time it rang and by the end of the day had upgraded to longer and less friendly ones. At one point I decided a hot bath was in order and so I took myself to possibly the only room in my home that doesn’t have a little ringing device and blocked out the world for a little while. (For those of you interested in the dynamic between people who see ghosts and bathing, we’ll get to that another time…)

I felt refreshed when I got out of the tub and thought I might return a few of those missed calls. Like most people these days all of my phones are cordless, so I went to grab the nearest handset and found it missing. I didn’t remember picking it up, but anyone who has a similar set up can probably relate to missing handsets around the house, so I thought nothing of it. I went into the next room and found that one missing also. Again, I shrugged it off.

After the third, fourth and fifth…I started to get suspicious. I pressed the locator buttons on the base…nothing.

I walked around the house trying to remember if I had, in a fit of exhaustion and irritation, buried the phones somewhere tricky. I couldn’t recall doing this, but people have certainly done stranger things.

After a little while I passed into my kitchen and as a neared the microwave I felt a wave of cold hit me. It was like stepping right into an icy wind. I stopped for a minute to investigate the cold spot and found nothing that could be causing such a draft. Yes, even after all of these years I still check. Nothing further happened so I continued my hunt.

After several more walks through the house and more button pushing I became suspicious of outside interference. I didn’t actually see ghosts about, but I got the general feeling that something was amiss.

I used the same tactic I grew to depend on as a child during such moments and shouted out to them that enough was enough game over. I heard laughter above me, so close it actually made me jump. It was soft and friendly enough so I waited a moment to see if anything would happen.

All at once I heard ringing, though it wasn’t coming out of any of the phone bases as it should have. I followed the ringing into the kitchen until I was standing in front of the microwave. I popped open the door and there piled in a pyramid were all five handsets.

The phones were still ringing so I picked one up to check the caller I.D. and found only “Out of Area.” I did answer, but heard only static on the other end. I said thank you allowed and laughed to myself. I felt one more gust of cold as the spot seemed to shift and heard similar laughter only this time from further away.

I returned all of handsets to their bases, giggling to myself as I went and thinking that I was very happy that one has no reason to start a microwave without first placing something inside of it. I wish I had gotten a chance to film the phones floating though the hallway like some except from a wizarding film. This is often the case, that an object gets moved, but you only see the end result, or just a flash of the movement before it stops.

I’ll have to remember that trick next time I feel like disconnecting. Now if only I could get them to do laundry…

Goodbye for now, another end.
Until a time we meet again.

Mini Paranormal Events: Missing Items Chapter II

Ghosts take itemsSome times when they (and by “they” I mean ghosts, spirits, or other beings,) take objects the outcome can be very funny. Those of you who read the previous post on this, or have had these experiences yourselves, may fully understand that at times the missing object routine can become frustrating. There are some occasions where it can be amusing and have often wondered if they understand what makes us laugh and if our joy is the goal.

I never liked my cousin Mike. He was four years older and ten times stronger and not especially nice to me. As in most families we got lumped together for events because we were reasonably close in age and he always found a way to embarrass me.

===> Click Here Free Psychic Reading Click Here <===

One day, one of my favorite paranormal events of my life occurred and the tables turned.

Though I grew up in many haunted homes during this time our little place by the ocean seemed no more haunted than a grocery store, (not that some of those don’t play host to spookies.) Or so I thought for the first few months.

Our little place had beach front access and it was something I thoroughly enjoyed. On this particular day Mike and I went down to the beach to swim and once again he persisted in trying to make my day miserable. I am very strong swimmer, but he kept dragging me under and causing me to choke on water. Nothing dangerous, but certainly not fun.

At some point in the evening we got called in for dinner. I obediently got out and grabbed my towel, but when I turned to look Mike was no closer to swimming in. I could tell he wasn’t in any danger and when I called after him he simply told me he wasn’t coming.

I am nothing if not stubborn and after already having to deal with his  antics that last thing I wanted was to have to wait to head back because he didn’t feel like swimming in yet.

He refused to swim in for so long that his mother came looking for us, now irritated. I wasn’t worried, I was all ready out!

===> Click Here Free Psychic Reading Click Here <===

After some yelling back and forth between Mike and my aunt he finally began moving towards us and as he approached waist level in the water I realized his reasons for not wanting to venture out. He no longer had any trunks on.

I gasped and turned away as he reached the shore, yelling about how something had caught on his shorts and tugged them all the way off. I was glad I had been nowhere near him at the time but completely visible otherwise I might have been blamed.

His mother handed him a towel, but I could see Mike was thoroughly embarrassed. His face was bright red and scowling as he and his mother passed. He continued to complain about his missing shorts all the way across the beach.

I noticed he’d forgotten the bag with his shirt, socks and shoes in it. Typical. So I ran over to where we had been earlier to pick it up. I’m not quite sure why I turned to look at the ocean again before leaving. I didn’t hear anything out of the ordinary, or feel anything for that matter. I certainly had no indication that ghost activity would be responsible for Mike’s missing trunks.

As I stood there I spotted something coming up in the surf and as I moved close I recognized his missing shorts. I remember rolling my eyes and wondering if he’d done it just to cause a ruckus, but judging from how angry and embarrassed he was I quickly dismissed the thought.

I walked into the water, only about up to my mid calf, and plucked the bobbing clothing out of the surf. It took me a minute to realize that they were completely dry. I mean BONE dry, not just water resistant. I looked down at the tiny waved around me and back the completely dry clothes.

And then I looked out, onto the ocean and there in the water I saw a girl smiling. I knew she wasn’t really there, by this age I had begun to notice some of the difference between living people and the “others.” She smiled at me and then reached her hands above her and shot into the air like she was diving into a pool of water above her. As she moved up and completely out of the water she vanished.

I think I heard her laughing as she left, but it may just have been the gulls. I said thank you aloud and I turned to leave. I stopped and looked down at the inexplicably dry shorts in my hand. Pausing to consider the probably outcome of my taking them back to Mike, and looking around to make sure that I was alone, I threw them on the sand. Just far enough that I knew the tide wouldn’t get them and carry them away.

When we returned the next day to swim (Mike borrowed some trunks from his father,) they were there in the sand. He used those trunks off and on over the next four years and I laughed every time I saw them. This always made Mike scowl, but he never knew the real reason why.

Goodbye for now, another end.
Until a time we meet again.

Mini Paranormal Events: Missing Items – Chapter I

Ghost Items One thing anyone should know before seeking out ghost activity is that your items may be toyed with. This is important to understand because it can be very inconvenient at times and downright infuriating at others.

Mine started fairly early on, before I knew how to communicate. These events are often recorded in haunted homes, though it is with less frequency that the items themselves are actually visibly moved. In some cases it is believed that the items are not being moved by ghosts or spirits, but by a person in the home that is unaware of an ability they might possess, even temporarily. I believe in some cases this might be true as our understanding of how telekinesis works is often vague at best.

===> Click Here Free Psychic Reading Click Here <===

In my situation, I truly believe that is was something else, something that delighted in teasing me just to the point before I became truly angry. We developed a system of tolerance, acceptance and finally, when I really needed something that had gone missing, demanding threats. This last bit worked most of the time by me throwing a tantrum, leaving a room and returning to find the missing item back in its’ place.

Locks and hidey-holes do not work against this sort of thing. It seems after all of these years that the best way to deal with situation is, like so many things in our lives, good communication. By expressing that you’re displeased, but not willing to linger to long (attention!) on the problem I believe most of them lose interest. I find now that it happens more often when I have become so busy with living life that I forget to spend some time with those others who are constantly here and perhaps constantly waiting. All in all, I can understand their frustration, but when your sunglasses go missing for the 100th time and you find them in the microwave…the situation is chalked full of irritation and often a few good laughs.

Goodbye for now, another end.
Until a time we meet again.

Mini Paranomal Events: The One Lock, Unlocked

Haunted KeyholeAt the very same home where the picture all decided one day to change their vertical point of view there was one door which would randomly lock itself. Unfortunately no one could find an explanation for why this kept happening, not even 3 different lock smiths.

The haunted room did not lead to anything so exciting as an old attic full of interesting old items; the room was simply a small bathroom with nothing terribly interesting in it.

If you walked away from the door for a few minutes, it would be unlocked when you returned. This was the real oddity that no one seemed to understand. After about a year it stopped and as far as we knew never returned (I myself was too young o remember either time we stayed there). Perhaps a ghost was just looking for a bit of privacy? A paranormal experience with plumbing? Perhaps we’ll never know.

UPDATE: I should be visiting this house yet again after the new year and now as an adult I may finally be able to get to the bottom of this.

Goodbye for now, another end.
Until a time we meet again.
