The following definitions will be applied to words used in various posts in order to best maintain clarity. Most of these definitions are the most commonly understood meanings with some modification to fit my own terminologies:

• Apparition: an unusual appearance or sighting often thought to be caused by supernatural occurrences.

• Being: a living thing (though in this case perhaps not in the traditional sense of “living”)

• Ghost: the essence of a being once living on earth that has left the earthbound body, most often appearing in a form that resembles it’s former living self.

• Haunt: 1. to visit often 2. a visit, inhabitance or appearance of a supernatural or paranormal being.

• Paranormal: not specifically explainable.

• Real: 1. the current perception of what is true 2. not fraudulent, illusionary or artificial.
• Shared Space: 1. stepping into the same space as a paranormal being seems to occupy. 2. A paranormal being enters the same space a living person might occupy. 3. A paranormal being occupying the same space as another, or many other paranormal beings.

• Spirit: a being existing in a form outside of the current, normal, human understanding; unearthly form of intelligent being whether ghost or non-earthly in origin.

• Supernatural: of or relating to an order of existence beyond the visible observable universe; transcending the laws of nature.
